Why astrology?

Astrology is an ancient system that studies and interprets the energy of time and place. At our essence, we are all energy; a complex interaction of the four elements, air, earth, fire, and water. Through the mixing of these elements, every life force on earth is born. By understanding your unique “mix,” you can gain insight into how to work with your personal energy and the energy of the world around you. It can help put things in perspective, show what you are uniquely qualified to do, and shine a light on personal patterns that are creating conflict, which serve as the motivation for change in your life. And while your chart is a blueprint of what you are here to do, it is not set in stone. You have the ability to choose how you want to react and work with the energy around you. As an astrologer, it’s my job to read the energy and help guide you through the process of working with it. But what you do with this information, and how you choose to work with this energy, is ultimately your choice. It can be incredibly empowering, literal, and even fun.

My Approach

My mission is to make astrology useful and helpful on a practical level. For example, it's great to know that you have an afflicted Mars, but what does that mean, and how do you work with it? Gaining insight into your chart may be life-affirming and reassuring on a deep level, but how can you work with your energy to bring about the changes you want to see in your life, and be the best you that you can be? To get there, we must work together. An astrology consult, at its core, is a conversation. It's an exploration of where you are, where you've been, and where you're going. My job is to interpret the energy, but it's up to you how you use that information. Hopefully, I can clarify what you really want to get out of a situation, be a sounding board to help put it in perspective, and help you create an action plan for how to get where you want to go.
